Ellmau and SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental offer more than 170 km of winter hiking trails.
In the village of Ellmau itself, you can enjoy a leisurely winter hike through the charming center and past snowy forests, with stunning views of the Wilder Kaiser. The network of trails in SkiWelt ranges from easy routes to more challenging treks, suitable for hikers of any skill level.
Popular hikes offer breathtaking panoramic mountain views and often end at cozy mountain huts for a nice break.

SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental offers more than skiing in winter, with plenty of activities for adventure and relaxation. Tobogganing is a popular choice, with floodlit tobogganing tracks such as the 3 km track in Going, ideal for a thrilling ride with stunning views. For cross-country skiers, there are more than 70 km of trails, suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers, through scenic forests and mountain meadows.
Tour skiing is perfect for adventurous travelers who want to explore the mountains on their own, followed by a thrilling descent. Ice-stock shooting is a fun and competitive activity for groups, similar to curling, played on frozen lakes or ice rinks.

Winter Events in the Wilder Kaiser Region:
The Wilder Kaiser comes alive in winter with a wide range of activities. The weekly Ellmau Ski Night features a spectacular evening show with ski acrobatics, fireworks, light displays, and music – an unforgettable experience for all ages.
During the Ellmauer Kaiser Weeks in January, you can enjoy guided ski tours, llama hikes, and night tobogganing. In March, the Winter Woodstock of Brass Music brings lively concerts to the mountains.
Evening skiing, snowshoe hikes, night sledding, and family activities like ice skating round off your perfect winter holiday.
